TinyURL Alternative With Free Analytics: TinyURL vs SendURL

TinyURL makes permanent short links for free but keeps analytics for paid plans; SendURL includes per-click analytics on its free plan. Limits, features and price, compared.

If you want TinyURL's simplicity plus click data without paying, SendURL is the alternative: its free plan records every click, while TinyURL's free plan has no analytics at all. TinyURL wins on branded domains and long history, both on paid plans. TinyURL figures come from its pricing page and the plan data behind it, checked on 15 October 2026.

Disclosure: SendURL is our product. TinyURL does several things SendURL does not, and we list them.

Key takeaways

  • TinyURL Free: 30 links a month, links that never expire by default, no analytics.
  • TinyURL Pro: from $11 a month (or $9 a month on annual billing) for 125 links a month, 3 branded domains and 2 years of analytics.
  • SendURL Free: 100 links in total, with country, device, browser, OS, referrer and time recorded for every click; the plan lists 7 days of analytics history.
  • SendURL Pro: $5 a month for 1,000 links in total and 30 days of analytics history, set up by email at support@sendurl.to. No branded domains on any SendURL plan.

Does TinyURL track clicks?

Only on paid plans. In TinyURL's plan data, the free plan has analytics switched off and an analytics period of zero. Every paid plan, from Pro up, has the analytics dashboard with 2 years of history and clicks by referrer, geography, device language, popular days and times, device type, OS and browser.

So a free TinyURL link works, but you won't see how many times it was opened.

Where TinyURL is stronger

TinyURL is simple and long established. Free links never expire, per its free plan post (30 March 2026), and anyone can make one from the home page.

On paid plans TinyURL goes further: branded domains, destination editing, deleting links, tags, expiration dates and unlimited tracked clicks on Pro. Its analytics keep 2 years of history and include device language and popular days and times. TinyURL also sells Bulk plans from 50,000 links a month.

Both have an API on the free plan, and SendURL adds expiry on every plan, but it has no branded domains and no bulk tools, and a destination can be changed only through the API. If you need long history or your own domain, TinyURL Pro covers more ground.

Where SendURL is stronger

The difference is on the free plan. On SendURL, every free link records the country, device, browser, operating system, referrer and time of each click, with charts of clicks over time. That's per-click link analytics without paying.

The free plan also holds more up front: up to 100 links at once, against TinyURL's 30 new links a month. TinyURL's allowance renews monthly, though, so over a year it adds up to 360 links. And SendURL adds password protection on every plan; both give every link a QR code.

Both let you shorten without an account. On SendURL, the link you make on the home page shows a live click counter, and signing up claims it into your dashboard with its clicks.

The paid step is smaller too: $5 a month for 1,000 links in total on SendURL (set up by email, not self-serve checkout), against $11 a month on monthly billing for 125 new links a month on TinyURL Pro. Over a year, TinyURL's monthly links add up to 1,500.
